Browser security has been brought to the forefront in recent times, due to the growing number of free web browsers available today. More and more people are familiarizing themselves with multiple Internet browsers, and they are worried about the built-in security features of their favorite Internet browsing tools.
Most browsers today come with very sophisticated means of making sure your Internet experience is a secure and pleasurable one. However, most users do not take the time to configure these built-in features for proper operation. With a small time investment, the built in features will allow you to do such things as implement browsing controls, setup trusted sites, disable/enable secure websites, FTP via browser, and password management. These features will allow you to create custom browsing profiles, which in most cases is MORE security than the average user needs. However, for those times where you feel the need for extra security, there are some browser plug-ins that will allow you to add even more layers of security. Most of these plug-ins just improve on browser built-in features, but do so in a way that may make them easier to manage.
